MRS. RUTHIE'S COCONUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. Crisco
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
5 eggs
1 c. coconut, grated or flaked
1 tsp. vanilla flavor
1 tsp. coconut flavor

Cream butter, sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add to mixture alternately with milk. Stir in coconut, vanilla and coconut flavoring. Pour into greased and lightly floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees until done or 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
