DROP PINEAPPLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. drained crushed pineapple
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 egg, beaten
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugars. Add egg and pineapple; mix well. Add vanilla. In another bowl mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add to first mixture. Add nuts. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
