ORANGE CUPCAKES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. ground raisins
Grated rind of 1 orange
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs well beaten, orange rind and ground raisins; dissolve soda in buttermilk and add alternately with flour, baking powder and salt that have been sifted together. Add vanilla. Bake in 375 degree oven using tart pans greased and floured.

ORANGE GLAZE:

Juice of 2 oranges
1 c. sugar

Put glaze on cakes while they are hot. Spoon the glaze over the cakes before they are removed from tart pans.
