CHOCOLATE CRACKLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. chocolate extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans
1 c. confectioners' sugar, sifted

In a large bowl combine butter and cocoa. Gradually blend in sugar, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate extract; mix well.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in nuts. Gather into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Pinch off pieces of dough and roll between palms into 1 inch balls; roll in confectioners' sugar. Place on greased pans and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove to rack. Makes 45 cookies.
