PHILIPPINE HAMBERGER SPECIAL 
1 tablespoon fat or salad oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup ground beef
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups water, plus liquid from mushrooms
6-ounce can mushroom, broiled
1 teaspoon salt
black pepper, few grains
3 tablespoons ketchup
elbow macaroni, 8-ounce package

Heat fat or oil in skillet; add onions. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, add beef crumbled into small pieces and brown well. Stir in flour; add mushrooms cut in pieces, water and mushroom liquid, macaroni cooked according to directions on package; drain.

Pour sauce over hot macaroni, mix well and serve at once.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.
