CANNED BREAD 
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. salad oil
1 tsp. salt
12 oz. can evaporated milk
1 c. whole wheat flour
3 c. white flour
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. butter flavoring

Can substitute white or rye flour, if desired.

Dissolve yeast into warm water. Add and beat well the sugar, salad oil, salt, milk, whole wheat flour, white flour, ginger and butter flavor. Dough will be soft. Generously grease or spray with Pam 2 (1 pound) coffee cans. Pour dough in cans. Cover with lids and let rise in warm place until lids pop. Remove plastic lids and bake. Remove from oven and take bread out of cans to cool.
