1/2 lb. ground beef 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce 1/2 c. water 1 1/2 c. ricotta or cottage cheese 1 egg 1/2 tsp. pepper 8 lasagne noodles, uncooked 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese Crumble ground beef in large glass bowl and cook in microwave oven on high for 2 to 3 minutes or until brown. Stir once during cooking time. Drain and stir in spaghetti sauce and water. Meanwhile, combine ricotta cheese, egg and pepper; set aside. In oblong baking dish, spoon 1/2 cup of the sauce, alternately layer noodles, egg mixture, Mozzarella cheese and sauce, forming 2 layers. Cook, covered, in microwave for 8 minutes on high; rotate 1/4 turn after 4 minutes. Continue cooking on power level 5 an additional 30 to 32 minutes (or until noodles are tender). Top with Parmesan cheese, let stand covered 15 minutes before serving. |
