ANADAMA BREAD 
3/4 c. cornmeal
2 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
3 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour

Boil water, cornmeal and salt. Add molasses and butter. Cool. Add 1 cup flour, stir and add yeast dissolved in warm water. Stir and add remainder of flour. Knead 5 minutes or until smooth. Put in greased bowl. Let rise 1 1/2 hours or until double in size.

Punch down. Shape in two loaves. Cover and let rest 5 minutes. Shape loaves into pans. Cover and let rise one hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
