1 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 pkg. butterscotch pudding mix (not instant) 1/2 c. Pet milk 1 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. pecan pieces Combine first 5 ingredients in large saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Add pecan pieces and continue cooking until soft ball stage is reached (225 degrees on candy thermometer). Remove from heat and beat until it begins to thicken. Drop quickly by spoon on waxed paper. Spread to form 4-inch patties. These are easier to pick up if you put paper towel under the waxed paper. |
