BLONDE DATE-NUT BREAD 
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. Pillsbury's Best All Purpose or Unbleached Flour
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease (not oil) bottom only of 9x5-inch loaf pan. In medium bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs; blend in buttermilk. Stir in remaining ingredients just until dry ingredients are moistened.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely.

Makes 1 loaf.

TIP: Self-rising flour is not recommended.
