MA OLLIE'S CARAMEL CANDY 
3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2-2 c. nuts
1 1/2-2 tbsp. butter

In a heavy saucepan, brown 1 cup sugar over medium heat until completely melted and very light brown in color. Add milk and 2 cups sugar. (Will appear to harden.) Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook until soft medium ball is formed in cold water.

Remove from heat, add nuts and butter. Stir well until sides begin to turn to sugar. Pour into buttered dish and allow to finish hardening.

May use pecans, walnuts or unsalted roasted peanuts.
