CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (Doubled) 
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt (optional)
2 c. (4 sticks) butter, softened
Sugar
Firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla (pure or extract)
4 eggs
24 oz. pkg. semi-sweet morsels
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in semi-sweet morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased or Pam coated cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 10 dozen.
