OLD FASHIONED EGG CUSTARD 
Pastry for 1 (9 inch) pie

Make sure there are no holes in crust.

4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. scalded milk

Blend eggs and sugar, salt and flavorings. Slowly pour scalded milk into egg mixture, stirring constantly. Pour custard mixture into crust. Bake at 400 degrees until knife inserted halfway in pie comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
