RED CABBAGE 
1 tbsp. bacon grease
1 bay leaf
1 sm. onion
Salt & pepper to taste
Vinegar
Water

Saute onions in bacon grease until tender. Chop cabbage; add to onions and grease lightly. Fry. Add bay leaf, salt and pepper and small amount of vinegar. Just cover with water and simmer until tender.
