GLAZED COFFEE CRESCENT COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1/4 c. orange juice

Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together. Set aside. Cream butter with sugar, add grated orange rind and orange juice. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Cover and chill 1 hour. Roll out on floured board to 1/8-inch thickness and cut out with crescent shaped or round cookie cutter. Place on greased baking sheets and bake in 375 degree oven until delicately browned (10- 12 minutes). Brush glaze over warm cookies and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Cool and let stand until glaze dries before storing.

GLAZE:

Combine in saucepan:

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. strong coffee (or 1 tsp. instant coffee, dissolved in 1/3 c. water)
1/4 c. honey

Bring to a boil and let simmer 5 minutes.
