BOILED CUSTARD | |
1 qt. sweet milk 4 whole eggs or 6 yolks 1 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla Put the milk in double boiler and heat to boiling point. Beat eggs and add the sugar and blend well. Add this to the milk and cook until thick enough for your taste. A good test is to stop when the custard coats the spoon. Be sure to stir the custard constantly while cooking. When comes from the stove, add vanilla and blend. Chill and serve cold. |
