PLUM BUTTER CAKE 
Cream together:

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. raisins

Beat in:

1 lg. egg
1 1/2 c. plum butter (or apple butter)

Sift together and add to other mixture in 2 portions:

2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice

Pour batter into greased bundt pan and bake 350 degrees 60-75 minutes (varies with oven) until toothpick shows clean. Cool 20 minutes and remove from pan. This cake is best if made several days in advance so flavor mellows. Drizzle with cream cheese icing if desired.
