GIANT CRISP CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Mix flour, baking soda, salt together. Cream butter until fluffy. Gradually blend in sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla until well blended. Stir in flour mix, chocolate chips and nuts. Shape into 2 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake on middle rack in 350 degree oven for 20-23 minutes. Cool on racks.
