2 c. milk
4 c. bread cubes
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg

Heat milk to scalding bubbles form around edge of pan. Pour over bread cubes. Cool. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Serves 6. Serve warm with cream.
