GUMDROP TREE
60 sm. gumdrops
2-3 tbsp. cake frosting
1 sugar cone (not the waffle type)
Toothpick or sharp knife
Plate

1. An adult should: Use a toothpick or the point of a sharp knife to make a small hole in the bottom of one gumdrop. Choose a bright-colored gumdrop because this will be the top of the Christmas tree. Then dip the bottom of the gumdrop into the frosting. Stick the gumdrop on the pointy end of the ice cream cone. The point of the cone should go into the hole in the gumdrop.

2. Now put a few fingers inside the cone to hold it. If you want to make your tree mostly green, pick out the green gumdrops and use just a few red or other colored gumdrops and use just a few red or other colored gumdrops to look like decorations on the tree. Dip the flat side of a gumdrop into the frosting. You should put enough frosting on the gumdrop so that it will squeeze out a little when you push it against the side of the cone. Stick the gumdrop on the cone close to the gumdrop on the point.

3. Cover the rest of the cone with gumdrops, using the frosting as "glue". Work down from the top (the pointy end) to the bottom, putting the dumdrops close together. When the cone is covered with gumdrops, set it carefully on a plate and let the "glue" dry at least 60 minutes. Then use your Christmas tree as a table decoration or give it to a friend.

Makes 1 Gumdrop Tree.
