MARY'S BREAD | |
1 loaf unsliced Vienna bread 1/2 lb. butter 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tbsp. seasoned salt 2 tbsp. chopped onion 1 tsp. poppy seed 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 can black olives, drained and diced finely; optional 3/4 lb. Swiss cheese 3/4 lb. cheddar cheese Cut small diagonals in loaf of bread. In pan combine all ingredients except cheese and olives. Stir until melted and blended. Cut cheese into julienne sticks. Place bread on large piece of heavy duty foil. Stuff cheese alternately into cuts of bread tucking them deep in side loaf. Drizzle butter mixture over loaf. Sprinkle with olives; fold foil up and over loaf covering completely. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
