1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. mustard
2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. onion, minced
1/4 c. crushed crackers
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Combine first 4 ingredients to make sauce. Combine remaining ingredients, kneading together with hands. Add half of tomato sauce mixture. Put in loaf pan. Pour remaining sauce over loaf. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 6.
