APPLE BREAD 
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
3 egg whites (OR 2 whole eggs)
2 tbsp. skim milk
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. apples, sliced
Lots of ground cinnamon

Cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs and milk. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Spread layer of dough on bottom of greased pan. Top with apples, push down in dough and sprinkle with cinnamon. Repeat layers.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool in pan on rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan to finish cooling on rack. When cooled, wrap in aluminum foil. It will stay moist.
