CHICKEN PAPRIKASH 
3 1/2 to 4 lbs. chicken
1 med. onion
3 tbsp. Crisco
1 tsp. paprika
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. flour
1 pt. sour cream

Cut chicken into sections. Brown onion in Crisco in large pot. Add washed cut up chicken, salt, paprika, and water. Simmer until chicken is tender. Mix flour into sour cream until smooth in a separate bowl. (Chicken will cook tender in about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, depending on the size of pieces cut.) Then add the sour cream mixture before serving. Pour over dumplings.

DUMPLINGS:

3 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cold water
