PEG'S LAYERED SALAD | |
1 head lettuce 1 c. diced celery 1 med. chopped onion or 1 bunch chopped green onions 1 can sliced water chestnuts 1 pkg. frozen green peas 1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise 3 tbsp. sugar 1 jar Bacos 1 c. grated cheddar cheese 2 sliced boiled eggs 2 fresh chopped tomatoes Layer first 4 ingredients in order given. Crumble peas while still frozen and spread over top of previous ingredients. Mix mayonnaise and sugar and use to spread over all and "seal" in bowl. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Do not toss! Just before serving, top with Bacos, cheese, eggs and tomatoes. |
