NORTHWEST APPLE PUDDING CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
2 eggs
4 -6 tart apples, grated or shredded fine
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts, finely chopped

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine sugar and butter and cream together; beat in the eggs. Measure 4 cups of apple and add to cream mixture. Sift flour with baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and add to cream mixture, along with chopped nuts. Mix together.

Pour into greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan and bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Serve with hot vanilla or lemon sauce.
