1 lb. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of cream of tartar
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
5 c. flour

Blend butter, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and cream of tartar. Add nuts last. Take a small amount of dough and roll in a half moon shape. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool on cookie rack. Then roll in confectioners sugar.
