OVEN SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. beef round steak, 3/4 inch thick
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped carrots
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. shredded sharp process American cheese

Cut meat in 4 portions. Mix flour and salt and pound into meat; set aside remaining flour. Brown meat in hot shortening. Place meat in shallow baking dish. Blend remaining flour with drippings in skillet. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Cook, stirring until boiling. Pour over meat. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 2 hours. Top with cheese. Return to oven for a few minutes.
