OVEN STEAK WITH BROWN GRAVY 
1-2 lbs. round steak
1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. shortening
2 cans golden mushroom soup
4 c. water

Can use cream of mushroom instead.

Cut steak into serving pieces. Flour pieces. Salt and pepper to taste and brown well in shortening. Drain on paper towel after browned. Blend soup and water, and pour over meat in a large baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for an hour to an hour and 30 minutes. Yield: 3-4 servings.
