MICROWAVE BREAD PUDDING (600
WATTS)
 
2 tsp. butter
2 slices bread, cubed, about 2 c.
1 c. milk
1 egg
3 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Nutmeg or cinnamon

Microwave on high the butter in uncovered microwave bowl for 30-45 seconds or until melted. Add bread cubes; toss to coat evenly. Beat together milk, egg, sugar and vanilla. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Microwave on medium uncovered 8-9 minutes or until center is just set, rotating dish once. Serve warm or cold. 2 servings; 270 calories each.

TIP: With full power, place bowl in 8-inch microwave dish. Add 1 cup warm water; microwave 8-9 minutes or until center is set. If desired, add 1 tablespoon raisins with bread.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
