OLD FASHIONED CORNMEAL MUSH 
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
2 c. milk
2 c. water
1 c. cornmeal (yellow)
Nutmeg

Combine salt, sugar, butter, milk and 1 cup of the water in medium sized saucepan. Scald. Combine cornmeal and the remaining 1 cup water; slowly pour into hot milk mixture, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve hot with milk.
