1 qt. birds (dove is excellent) 1 stick butter 1 lb. mild sausage (bulk type) 1 hot pepper (optional) 2 drops pepper juice (optional) Salt and pepper to taste Cover mixture with water in large container and simmer for 2 hours. Remove pepper and bones from birds. Thicken with flour or cornstarch. Serve over rice or biscuits. |
