MEAT AND POTATO PIE 
3 med. potatoes
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1 tbsp. butter
1 lb. ground beef
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 c. sliced pimento
Stuffed olives (optional)
1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

May double recipe to fill 9 x 13 inch pan. Peel and thinly slice potatoes. Butter a deep 9 inch pie plate or 9 x 13 inch pan. Line with overlapping potato slices; reserve slices for top. Saute onion, celery, and mushrooms in butter. Add ground beef and brown. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, olives, and 1/2 of cheese. Turn into potato-lined pan. Overlap remaining potatoes around edge. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Serves 6.
