CHEESE BALLS | |
1 lb. shredded cheese such as Swiss or Cheddar 1 (6 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 clove garlic (optional) Mixed dried herbs (optional) 2/3 c. chopped nuts (optional) Soften cream cheese. Mix in shredded cheese and garlic or herbs if used. Shape into a ball or log and roll in chopped nuts or dried herbs. Serve at room temperature. Good combinations are: Swiss cheese and almonds, Cheddar cheese and walnuts, hot pepper cheese and herbs, Cheddar cheese and garlic and cooked crisp bacon. |
