OYSTER STEW 
1 pt. oysters
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1 qt. milk

Look over oysters and take out any bits of shell. Melt the butter, add the oysters and their liquid, and cook until the edges of the oysters begin to curl (about 3 minutes). Add milk and salt, and heat just to boiling. Sprinkle with pepper. Makes 4 (1 cup) serving.
