OYSTER STEW 
1 qt. fresh oysters, simmer for 5 to 10 minutes stirring often

Heat 1 gallon whole milk, 4 tablespoons butter, salt and pepper to taste; add to oysters and stir well, simmering some more; cool and refrigerate. Make a day ahead and then reheat before using--brings the flavor out.
