HOLIDAY SHORTBREAD DROPS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar, granulated
1 egg yolk
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour (all-purpose)
1 c. nuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in egg yolk, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. Stir in flour. Mix in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until delicately brown on the bottom. Makes 4 dozen.
