CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
1 stick butter
1 or 2 c. brown sugar
1 apple
1/4 c. orange juice or 1/4 c. apple juice
4 or 5 sweet potatoes

Peel potatoes and cut up in chunks, boil until done. Put butter in big frying pan and melt. Core apple and slice into butter and brown lightly. Add brown sugar, then pour in juice; mix well. Drain boiled sweet potatoes and put in with sugar mix. Simmer and spoon over potatoes 2 or 3 minutes and serve.
