BARBEQUED RIBS | |
3-5 lbs. pork, beef or deer ribs, cut into serving pieces 4 c. water 1 c. liquid from cooking ribs or water 1 c. catsup 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. chopped onion or dried onion flakes 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. garlic salt Cook ribs in 4 cups water 2 to 3 hours or until tender. (Save liquid for barbeque sauce.) Mix all ingredients for barbeque sauce in large saucepan and simmer for 1 hour. (Ribs and barbeque sauce can be prepared ahead and frozen, separately.) Place ribs in 9"x13" pan, meaty side up. Pour barbeque sauce over ribs. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees, basting every 15 to 20 minutes. |
