CHERRY PUDDING 
1 c. cherries, drained
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg
1 c. nuts
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Mix soda into cherries. Mix all other ingredients except nuts. Add cherry mixture and fold in nuts. Bake in greased 8 x 8 inch pan at 325 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped topping and (or) sauce made from remaining cherries and juice cooked with sugar to sweeten and flour to thicken slightly.
