GRANDMA FRANNY'S BEST FRUIT
COMPOTE
 
1/4 c. golden raisins
1 lb. dried fruit (prunes, pineapple, papaya, pears, peaches, etc.)
1 c. dry white wine
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 cinnamon stick
Juice and rind of 1 lemon
1 c. water

Combine the raisins, dried fruit, 1 cup wine and 1 cup water in a baking dish. Soak for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and rind. Cover and bake for 1 hour.
