CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT BROWNIES 
FIRST LAYER:

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Melt butter and chocolate. Mix in eggs and sugar. Add flour and nuts. Line 8 inch square greased pan with foil. Spread in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool.

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. peppermint extract
Several drops green food color

Mix and spread on first layer. Harden in refrigerator.

TTHIRD LAYER:

1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 tbsp. butter

Melt and blend. Spread with spatula over second layer. Chill. Remove for 30 minutes before cutting into squares. This also freezes well.
