SHOO-FLY PIE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. hot water
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. molasses
1 unbaked pie shell

In large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, baking powder and shortening by working into crumbs with fingers. Set aside.

Mix together hot water, baking soda and molasses. Add this liquid to the crumbs and mix slightly. Pour into unbaked pastry shell.

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
