1 c. sugar
1 1/2 eggs (1 whole egg and 1 yolk)
1/2 c. soft butter (1 stick)
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat all ingredients and add 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour. Press in lightly greased pan.

Topping:

1 egg white
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. nuts

Beat egg white. Add brown sugar and nuts. Pour over batter and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
