CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE 
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
6 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked 9" pastry shell

Combine cocoa, 1 cup sugar, flour, salt and milk in double boiler. Cook, stirring frequently, until thickened. Stir in beaten egg yolks. Cook for 2 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. Cool. Turn into pie shell. Beat egg whites until foamy. Add 6 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating until blended. Beat until stiff peaks form. Spread on filling. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
