QUICK BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/2 c. soft shortening
1 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar

Combine bran and milk, let stand until most of the moisture is absorbed. Add egg and shortening, beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into the first mixture, stirring only until combined. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full.

Bake in moderately hot oven 400 degrees about 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 9 or 12 muffins, depending on size of tins. Sugar may be left out.
