RAISIN APPLESAUCE BREAD 
2/3 c. raisins
1/3 c. white sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. soft shortening
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. canned applesauce
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Rinse and dry raisins; chop them. Beat sugar, shortening, cinnamon and eggs together. Stir in applesauce, raisins and nuts. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together. Stir into first mixture. Stir until blended. Put into greased and floured bread loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
