DIANA'S SOUR CREAM FUDGE 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. butter
1 c. walnuts
1 tbsp. light Karo syrup

Mix sugar, Karo, milk, sour cream, salt and butter in large heavy kettle and cook to 240 degrees (soft ball stage). Remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm, then beat until it loses it's gloss, add vanilla and nuts, and pour into buttered 9 x 9 inch pan.
