OLD FASHION BROWNIES 
1 pkg. brownie mix
Buttermilk
Miniature marshmallows
2 sqs. chocolate
2 heaping tsp. cocoa powder
2 c. powdered sugar
1 stick butter
Sm. can evaporated milk

Take 1 package of brownie mix and use box directions but don't add water - substitute buttermilk in equal amount in its place. Add pecans or walnuts, if desired. Bake as directed. Last 3 minutes of baking time, pour miniature marshmallows over brownies and continue baking for 3 minutes.

Frosting: Mix together 2 squares chocolate, 2 heaping teaspoons cocoa powder, 2 cups powdered sugar, and 1 stick butter. Pour in some evaporated milk and stir until creamy. Frost on cooled brownies.

Helpful hint: Take leftover buttermilk and premeasure exact amount into ziplock bags and freeze. Use premeasured buttermilk the next time you make brownies.
