DUMPLINGS 
1 c. milk
1 egg yolk and 1 whole egg
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. shortening
flour

Mix above ingredients and add enough flour to real stiff batter. Roll 1/2 dough at a time pretty thin (a little thicker than pie crust). Cut into strips and then cut strips into about 2 inch links. drop into chicken broth that is rolling boil. Cook about 20 minutes on low heat.

To make broth, buy a fat fryer, clean well by washing, boil until tender. Remove chicken from broth. Bring broth to a rapid boil to drop dumplings in.
